Can anyone recommend a decent PCI card with composite AV video and sound input. I need to connect the yellow, white and red connections of an RCA cable to it so I can watch live TV on my computer. I intend on using a splitter/switch so I can also hook up my Xbox 360 to it. Something like this would be ideal... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hauppauge-Analogue-hardware-encoder-mediacenter/dp/B000DZ8388 but I don't want outdated/refurbished stuff. Ideally I would want a HDMI input card but I don't think these exist? Thanks
i have an Asus P8Z68-V LX motherboard which has the following according to the asus website: 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (blue) 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black) 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 3 x PCI
the reason for my asking for the type of slots on your motherboard is that you can get a video card that has vga, dvi & hdmi on it as my radeon hd6450 does.
If you use a tuner card you don't need any inputs to watch TV on your PC. You only have to connect the antenna or cable connection to watch TV.It doesn't work like you think it does. They also have TV tuners that plug into your USB ports. Some cards you only have an audio cable that you have to connect from the tuner card to the input to your sound card. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=1427&name=TV Tuner Cards
i know about TV tuners, but i need to connect a satellite box to my PC. the satellite box is connected to various other things which is why i cant plug the satellite cable direct into the pc. that's why i need a card that will accept the scart connection from my satellite box
@azdaboss i'm looking for exactly the same thing as you. did you find anything? i found some with (Video-in, S-video, RF and audio in&out) but i did NOT find HDMI-in..
