Hi .. I am trying to back up my Pearl Jam: lIve at the Garden dvd. I have used DVD Decrypter, and then when I am beginning the DVD2One process, I am getting stumped at the stage where I choose my audio files, right before starting the file processing. I have never seen this as an option, but along with Audio: "AC3 6ch" "language: unspecified" , I am also getting an option to choose (or not choose) Audio "PCM 2ch" "language: unspecified." What is PCM and should I choose it or not? thank you --- Brian

Im not sure what that is, but if in doubt, check it. It will still compress to fit it on the disc.

PCM (Pulse-Code Modulation) is uncompressed digital audio. It's for example a very common format for WAV files.

My guess is that it's used on your DVD to get better quality on the stereo track. Also, since it's only stereo, it can afford to cram in an uncompressed stream along with the 6 channel AC3 and the video.
