Does anyone know of any freeware for conversion/editing a pdf file? Sorry, but I have to ask here since this is the only place on the net where intelligent life exist!! Thanks in advance!
Converting to or from .pdf? If you are trying to convert a .pdf file into a text/doc file so you can change it, you're missing the whole point of .pdfs. .pdfs exists to be portable, NON-modifiable documents. If you want to convert a document INTO a .pdf, there are programs like CutePDFWriter.
I've never used free software to edit a PDF. I'm not even sure if there's a free program available that offers that feature. As for creating PDFs, I use PDFCreator (link here). Basically, it adds a printer to your computer and when you want to save something to a PDF you just print to that printer. Once the print starts, another window will open which will allow you to enter the location and name to save the PDF to.
