I have recently been using WinAvi to convert .avi files to DVD format to burn to disk. The lates video I did was Advent Children and it burned good but it would loop a couple of times during the movie and I had to FF to get back to where I was. I am burning with Nero. Any idea as to why this is happening?

Did you check the AVI source? If not that, then it's probably a bad conversion. Check the source files and then the DVD files on the PC before burning. It'll save you some time and wasted discs along the way.

How do you check the avi source? Also, how do you check the DVD files.

You're not supposed to have multiple threads open on the same problem.

To check, you get a player software to view the files. For DVDs and DVD files, I use WinDVD 7. PowerDVD is another good option, there's more around. Just check around for a good AVI player. Here's the link to players here at AD. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/ The BSPlayer is said to be good with AVI files.
