I just burned a DVD using Nero. I wanted to make a perfect backup but I noticed the size of the original dvd was 7.65GB while the backup i made was 7.63GB. Can anybody tell me what the problem is? I know it is only .02GB difference but I am very picky about these sort of things.

There most likely is no problem. It will depend on what was on the original. Was there for instance a jacket folder thats not on the backup. It would just have pix in it. Was there a win folder on the original not on the backup. It would most likely have some crap player in it for instalation not needed. Did you tell nero you didnt want all lang or anything. Many things to consider for what you are asking.

Yes, there was a win folder on the original. Also, most of the file sizes from files on the original and the backup differed a bit. I guess there isn't really a way to make a perfect backup.
