Phenom and Penryn prices

    The most well known is the one coming out first, the 3GHz 12MB L2 Quad-core QX9650, price on that part should be ~$1029.00, and available very soon.

    The three new models that have popped up, official launch is 01/08 for the models below:

    E8200 2.66GHz 1333MHz FSB 6MB L2 Cache $177.00

    E8400 3.0GHz 1333MHz FSB 6MB L2 Cache $198.00

    E8500 3.16GHz 1333MHz FSB 6MB L2 Cache $281.00

    That's pretty cheap for the non-FX Phenoms. I expected the price to be higher.

    they will be higher but not too much. i will probably get one next year after a price drop.

    well i think most retailers will double the price for these processors...really i forgot where i've heard this, that AMD's highest clock speed is 2Ghz but they have L3 cache tho

    clock speed for the highes phenom this year will be 2.4 and have 2mb l3.

    i wonder if 4MB L3 cache will be faster or 12MB L3 cache will be faster...i heard that AMD will be having 3 core CPU
