Philips DVD +- DL burner recognized as cd drive.

Hey i have been having trouble lately just yesterday it decided to call its self a cd drive and wont recognize dvds at all tried uninstalling it off the system then restarting to reinstall it but still a cd drive. Tried a few things from other sites still no luck. Would appreciate if someone could help me with this one thx.
