Anyone have any experience with the Philips DVDR3390? Like to divide titles of my +RW discs. Realize many readers here only do one recording per discs. Not me. I do as much as 3 and want to be able to divide titles. I bought Panasonic ES15 a week ago and like it except can't divide titles. With the Panny, I guess I could end each recording early than published (1:58 rather than 2:00 hrs.) and then start next movie later than published (2:02 rather than 2:00 hrs.). But that might get to be bothersome in a short time. I've had one Philips and one Magnavox before and very much like the set up and features--including dividing titles. But they both stopped recognizing discs between 1.6 to 2 years.
Would like something that will last longer.

I'm thinking about buying the phillips dvdr3390. It says it will play DVD Video
    SVCD
    Video CD
    MP3
    JPEG
    DivXDVD+R/+RW - Play/Record
    DVD-R/-RW - Play/Record
CD-R - PlayFinally, DVD recording made fast and simple! The Philips DVDR3390 DVD Player/Recorder supports dual media recording --the ability to create recordings on + and - discs (DVD+R/+RW/-R/-RW). Now you can buy any disc and the Philips recorder will always create compatible recordings which can be played by any DVD player. Special SmartAlgo feature ensures quality recordings, regardless of disc format or quality; DivX technology allows long video segments to be compressed while still retaining high visual quality.

Is this all true? And would you recommend this model. The Ilo dvdrhd was a piece of ****. It quit me after 10 months.
