PHILIPS DVP642 not playing DVD+RW

    I just got one of these for the sole purpose of recording shows on my computer and then burning them to a DVD+RW so I can watch them on my TV. The first show I burned did not play on the DVD player.

    I am using Samsung DVD+RW 4x, 4.7GB discs.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

     My DVP642 plays DVD+RW with no problems .. Try using better media loke Verbatim or Sony

     I don't know who's making those +RWs, but it's probably BeAll which is 3rd class media

     Why are you using +RW? Are you re-writing on these discs? The +RW format really is inferior compared to the +R format

    Yes, I am re-writing. I want to save myself some money by using the same discs over. I am using my WinTv to record shows and then burn them so I can watch them on my tv.
