The Philips hdd/dvd recorder(DVDR3450H) I have has a disc in the dvd tray and when I eject it, the drawer will not open and all functions and buttons do not work. I have disconnected from the mains power several times and everything works ok till I press open on the dvd tray and the above happens again. Can anyone help, please. I don't want to have to open the recorder which is how it looks to me at the moment....(",)**
I fixed it the next day by unplugging it,taking off the cover and plugging the recorder back in and when the plastic wheel on the dvd case inside began to spin, I put my finger on it to stop it. With my finger still on the wheel, I pressed the eject button and the tray popped open. No trouble since....this is in case anyone has the same problem....hope it helps....(",)**
This problem is most frustrating. I can't figure out what causes the freeze, how to stop it happening or how to overcome it. It happens so often that I am planning to dump my Philips HDD in the bin and buy something that works.
