Hi first time posting here I just got one of this players Philips HDD082 2gb problem Im have is im running winme can't install the software guess I need winxp, I installed winmedia 9 player no help there, is there a way around this? I dont want to upgrade to xp. Thanks
Hi, Same problem here but i upgraded to win-xp with service pack 2. I think we need to have win-xp with service pack 1 or higher as the HDD082 box mentions.. Sting
Is that the only problem that you have with it? I'm trying to convince someone to get it for me for x-mas. So I need to know. Any other problems? Sound? Battery life? Stuff like that.
@Rzapata theres no need to make nasty comments this was califmans first post here and im sure you never got a response like that when you made your first post did you ? i know i did'nt , remember this is a help forum we all try to help one another not make stupid comments , just my 2pence worth and im sure 99.9% of the other members would agree with me . @califman have you tried just updating to media player 10 , and pluging the player in via usb ? i know i can do this with my ipod without havin itunes installed (i do this when im travelling , ie my parents house ) give it ago and see it might not work but its worth a try mark
celticfc1 Thanks I tryed installing media player 10 it wont let me telling me I need xp installed, sucks, poprox57: Thats the only problem im having but I can't load mp3's to here how it sounds.
Does it say in the details for the mp3 player that you need xp ? if it does then there is no other option but to update to xp or return the player tell the store you cant use it and you should be able to get a refund , then try another player , might i recommend the 2gb ipod nano its pretty good , same spec as the philips and itunes will run on me
HDD082 works with .. 1) WINDOWS 2000 + WMP9 + install all the software that has come with the player on the CDs. 2) WINDOWS XP + SP1 & higher + WMP10. It is working perfect for me for both these combinations. At home (XP) + at office (2000). Do not go for junk iPod, HDD082 is Play For Sure & best !
