It's a Philips burner (i take it you mean has it been rebadged by another company) in which case i can't find hardly anything on the net about this drive, i'm guessing it's very new, and can't tell if the firmware is up to date this link says it's a SATA drive though... http://www.storageupdates.philips.com/en/dvdrw.html plus has no downloads listed, as i say i'm guessing it's really new.. edited due to crap spelling
