Just wondering if anybody else is having the same problem, box working fine for months but just after xmas the picture and sound was breaking up on all channels, I put this down to maintenance work and test the box on another friends line all ok on that. It stopped on new years day for a week and started again last week but not on all channels, the signal is at 78% and working fine on some, and 83% on others working fine as it should, no problems with the nthell box at all. Could it be the change over to digital on the transponders? or upgrade work? or is vi***n taking bandwidth capacity off the line with the 50meg broadband due to the 78% signal strenth? does anybody know of upgrade work going on? or is it a local issue? I have tried a booster this takes out the signal completely and I use a actuator, I have tested it all to no avail. Any ideas my fellow dawners? NW UK
Any splitters on your feed that you could take out to try also is the signal strength on the problem channels steady or fluctuating, have you tried taking the attenuator out.
Hi HiTeck, Already tried that, still same. I think they may be messin with the transmitters, or installing new equipment for HD and capacity. The problem channels have moved since the problem started in Dec, and the signal on the channels are steady now, in Dec they dropped out altogether intermittantly. Checked every possible cause, including the box. Software?
If you have tried everything plug your subbed box back in and call them out, tell them it has an intermittent signal fault especially in the evening, they will probably move your position in the cab and check your cabling and connections.
