hi, just got an Olympus SP-310 and i was wondering how i can put the the pictures onto a cd or dvd so i can play them back on a dvd player. I would like a software that i can add music to while it shows the slideshow of the pictures. I'm just wondering can Nero make any picture cds that can be played back on dvd players. thnx for the help.
Nero will do it, but not very easily. Recommend ProShow Gold by Photodex. Not cheap, about $70.00. They may still a 7 to 10 day free trial.
I use DVD picture show 3 from ulead, very easy to use, adds soundtracks if wanted and the results are always spot on.
I use Magix photos on cd&dvd to make my slideshows. It's easy to use, and it has great transition effects, and one thing they don't tell you...you can mix'n'match these effects. You can also add music, or audio commentary of your own. It's easy to use, I'm using 3.0 Deluxe version, although there is a later version. It does have one downfall, unfortunately, where an upgrade comes out, they charge you for it, that's why I haven't upgraded.
Hello, PhotoDVD is another option: easy to use, not a lot of 'extras', nice quality 24.99, trial version. Only burns to DVD though (to ensure quality of slideshow). http://www.vso-software.fr/products/Photodvd/photodvd.php
Most DVD players will play a simple slide show from a Data CD with jpegs....No external program needed....
I have used ProShow Gold in the past and it is very easu to use and add sound tracks in both WAV and MP3s. It also has a host of transitions like wipes and shutters to add some nice touches. You can also add captions to individual picutres.
