i hate complaining but my ipod is a big part of my life.

it was plugged in and so i decided to look at my newly imported pictures on it. i clicked the file where they were and clicked on the first bullet to get a black screen. i think i then unplugged it and the screen is still black.

    help?

When you say you "get a black screen", do you mean the photos come up black/blank, or do you mean the iPod is frozen on a blank screen?

Try resetting your iPod. Press & hold the 'Menu' & 'Select' (middle) buttons for six seconds simultaneously, and you should see an Apple logo appear. This means your iPod has been reset and should solve the freeze issue.

It's just a soft reset. It will not affect any of your settings or preferences in any way, shape or form ;-)
