Pinnacle AV/DV problems

    Hello...I just bought Pinnacle studio 8 AV/DV complete with AV/DV capture card and break out box.

    I want to use the capture card with Adobe premiere aswell . It cpatures DV fine but willl not recoqnise the AV input.???? Pinnacle 8 captures the AV fine but whenever I try and play the captured AVI my computer freezes-any ideas. I'm new to this so desperately need help..

    I would like to know how that would work too. I actually have to use Pinnacle software to capture the AV, then I can use Adobe to do all my editing

    Try viewing your videos on the LCD of your cam.Got the Studio 7 and the playback's choppy but when I view it on the cam it's usually smooth. Any guys here know any codec I can use so I can playback on my TV using Studio 7 with Miro DC30+? Any reply would be appreciated, thanks! BTW, I'm new here.

    i dont know what he is talking about, but the only time i have problems with my window XP media player, is when sometimes when i play a real dvd.
    however, i have had now problems with studio 8 and windows XP
