I recently bought Pinnacle's Studio 9 software. I completed a movie project and want to burn it to DVD. The software completes the rendering.......then compiles........then tells me that the burn has been completed. Except there's one problem....it never burns the DVD. Anyone have this problem before? If so, what am I doing wrong?.....besides buying a Pinnacle product in the first place.
hi i like the last part! its very buggy...but it deos make some good effects menus etc! but are all the files there just not burnt? if so what type of files are they we may get round it?
From what I can see the DVD remains blank.....no files listed even when viewing with Windows Explorer. One thing I haven't done yet is checked for the patches. I'll try that next and update this tomorrow.
I haven't used Pinnacle for ages, so do not know where to look, but I do think there is a 'simulation' setting in there somewhere, this goes through the process of burning but not actually burn it. It may lie within the create dvd settings 'I think', if I get time I shall see if I can find out exactly...............
I saw that option to make it a DVD format but not burn to DVD. I don't have that option selected. I checked the "Burn to DVD" box. I just updated to version 9.4 but it didn't correct the problem. I was warned that Pinnacle's software is "buggy." I should've listened. This is getting frustrating. Any help is appreciated.
hi when i first come to ad as newbie i spent alot of time on pinnacle v9.0 then later i updated to v9.3, i also spent alot of time on pinnacle forum trying to get like you a dvd out! but gave up... even spent longer with a friend on his pinnacle (he bought hardwares to! capture cards etc..) no go there either (with tech support) in the end my friend erased his hard drive and loaded windows and pinnacle in, IT WORKED!!!! ? but i didnt wont to put you off as other people only some get it to work (very computer specific!) [bold]but i cant remember what files it outputs? as DONT BURN TO DISC they may be vob/ifo/bup files created which you can burn in other apps[/bold] as the features of pinnacle were very good, i had most of them!
I know Pinnacle can be buggy, but I never came across issues where it wouldn't burn to dvd, the issues I encountered was when it came to rendering massive projects, compiling and I found that I had to do them in a particular order. I do know that it will produce a solid dvd, it does do something different to the IFO files though, as Dvd Decrypter would always report an invalid IFO or none existent in there....... I am sure it must be a setting rather than an actual software bug, but maybe wrong......
