I recently bought a HD camcoder that cam with Pinnacle. My current computer was wayyyy to old to handle burning/editing AVCHD. Needing a new comp, but being thin in the wallet, I headed to Bestbuy were I bought a computer that the Geek Squad guy said would run the software. Here's what I bought... AMD Phenom 8450 Triple Core at 2.1 GHz, 2 MB shared L3 cache, 3600MHz HT 3.0 Bus 4 GB DDR2 Dual-Channel ATI Radeon HD 3200 256 MB. I am gonna upgrade to a NVIDIA 8500 512MB. The software requires... Intel Core Duo 2.66 GHz or higher Everything else I have that is at least equal to. Is the Geek Squad guy right? Can my processor run this software without any problems? Thanks.
http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSi...timate+11+Documents/Technical+Specifications/ Draw your own conclusions, but to me it looks as if you may have some difficulty at the higher resolutions. It says: "Intel® Core™2 Quad 2.66 GHz or higher required for 1920x1080 AVCHD editing" The CPU is the issue. Everything else looks OK.
