pioneer 105 wont write at 2x

    Hello, i have had a 105 for sum time now copying at 2x with no problems, but last weekend i upgraded to win xp pro. and now the disks that did write at 2x(GO DVD-R`s) only work at 1x? i have found some disks that do copy at 2x so i know it works but but is there any way of making my 105 read them at 2x again because i have loads of the blank dvd-r that only read at 1x since my upgrade and realy dont want to wait an hour for a dvd.

    would newer firmwear help? if so where can i get it from? cheers for any help

    I hear ya. Same problem here. I could never get my DVR-105 to burn at 2x on XP. What's your firmware version? Mine is 1.21.

    not sure? how do i check? i havent changed anything since i bought it, about 5 months ago.
