Ok, just bought a pioneer ao6d today (oem). its my first dvd r/rw. I copied a dvd using dvdfab and nero express 6 which came with the burner. Problem is nero tells me that the maximum burn speed is only 2.4x, what gives??
What brand and type is the media? Is it +R or -R? What is the speed rating for it? Sounds like you've got a +R disc from the speed it's burning at. You need to get media rated for 4X to get that speed.
Yeah burns, your right, that was with a rw I bought to practise with. Using the high quality -R discs i've backed up 5/5 movies succesfully at 4x ! Good stuff, much impressed ! I just hope it stays this way, cause i payed $200AUD(oem) for this drive when there was a Lite-On brand which was selling for $145(retail) that i decided against after checking this board out. Also, it came with firmware 1.08, is that fine? No point fixing it if it aint broke right??
