I've got this dvd and it has the dts option in the properties, but i still can't here the dts tracks on dvds. My dvd is connected to tv (not reciever). Is there anything i can do to hear the dts tracks? Thanx.
connect the dvd player's audio out to the receiver for the decoding capabilities the receiver has. a tv only has 2 speakers anyway, so dts will not even work if you select that option. or if it does, it will downmix it to 2 channel stereo. make sure the setting s in the player are configured to dts for audio playback and if yor receiver plays dts, it may even light up a dts logo, or something saying it recognizes the format.
