Pioneer DV-444 region hack req plz

    i bought a used Pioneer DV-444 and was wondering a few things,
    how can i make it region free,i have tried google without sucess.

    try my stickey at the top, click the last link provided, if not, run a google on your player, see if it finds anything. add the model # plus 'region hack' and 'firmware' to the end, see if it works..

    i have had no luck, althogh i rang pioneer they say it does not have firmware upgrade as its older model. is there any software i could download and make a boot disk with that would rewrite its software to make it region free

    nope, older unit just dont have the capability...

    you'll have to get a newer one to do so..
    and there not the expensive anyway...

    ill probably stick on ebay, get some money and buy a newer one,is the pioneer dv-575 or 585 much better

    i am not much into pioneer players at all...
    just click the top stickey to this forum and find the link on dvd player reviews... enter your model in there and see what shows up.
    if not, run a google on it and add 'reviews' to the end... read customer reports on them..
    i would not buy from e-bay if i were you.. too much hastle and when its defective, it costs more $$$ to return..
