pioneer dvd 109 "flash the drive to read -r medias"

    ok so recently i oredered a new burner, the pioneer 109 and while eagerly waiting forit to arrive i just started reading the reviews and one guy said that you need to flash the drive for it to play -r medias first off is this true? and also if this is true what does it mean to "flash" the drive and how do i perform this ? any help will be greatly apreciated

    it's a firmware update like a bios update. check drive site for most recent firmware update

    Quick question... After a 109 is crossflashed to an A09, when updating future firmware, do I use the A09 firmware with the included upgrader from now on or do I have to keep using DVRUpdate?
