Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109 does not read or write plz HELP

    i have a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109 and it will not read or write anything it is there when i click on properties itthere it has the firmware 1.58 please cud u reply ASAP

    Is this a new DVD burner? If so when you put it in did you make sure that the pin in the back was set to master? If you have another DVD drive in your machine it should be set to slave. Make sure those pins are set correctly.

    nah i brought it bout 2 years ago all fitted in it just hasn't been working 4 da past 2 weeks

    sounds like that after 2 years, your Pioneer is on it's last leg... :(

    i have the dvr-109 too, great burner btw, my fastest one to date; i'm thinking it's on it's way out unfortunately, i hope you got a lot of use out of it~
