Pioneer DVR-104 reads DVD, does not read CD, burn CDR or DVD-R etc

    The Pioneer DVR-104 came with my Sony VAIO RZ Series Desktop. Somefays back, it just stopped reading audio CD's, CD-ROM's [It does not recognize these media types at all]. It does not burn CD's or DVD's. Ir recognizes and Plays DVD's just fine.

    I have upgraded to the latest Firmware version [1.40] from the Sony VAIO Site.

    I would appreciate any pointers to troubleshoot this.

    Nephilim, Thanks for your response... I updated the ASPI, but I am still seeing the same problems... Any other pointers?
