Hi- I am trying to install a pioneer dvr107d with another cd-rw drive. I saw a previous question that addressed this install; but with a dvd-rom drive. My question is- should I set the pioneer drive as a master or slave to the cd-rw drive. Also- the drive came with no software- any suggestions as to the best software to use would be appreciated. Thanks!

The DVD drive should be set up as Master on the secondary IDE and the CD-Rom should be slave on the same IDE Channel.

If you want to burn DVD's Use Shrink to rip and either DVDDecrypter or Nero to burn. In using the burning programs it will depend on if you are in .iso Mode or file Mode

Thanks! Would it make any difference if installed them on separate IDE cables and set each to master- or wuld this not work?

It will work that way also if you desire if you have the cable.

only if you have 3 ide channels (from an add in card i guess).
Otherwise you need to keep your os drive (usually c:/) set as master on a channel
