is it good for burning 360 games? Just wanna make sure, before the Benq ixtreme firmware comes out that I'll actually be able to burn games.
anyone? Also is there a way to flash without opening my computer? If not I'll probably use my onboard SATA. I think it's an Intel 82801FB ICH6 Serial-ATA/150 IDE Controller [B-1] ...wtvr that means... my motherboard is an Intel D915GAG I'm also gonna buy a 20 pack of Memorex DVD+R DL disks. Do I have everything I need for burning and flashing?
Okay yes you have to open your computer and 360 and your sata might work but dont hold me to that, and DO NOT buy memorx they tire out your laser because they are a cheap awful brand buy Verbatim.
I agree, do not buy Memorex. Yes i know they cost less then Verbatim, but you will waste most of them trying to make back ups anyway. If you are backing up original discs you need to also get a Samsung SH-D162C DVD-Rom drive for your PC, If not all you need is a dual layer burner to burn the image. You should also get DVDmulleter and Xbox Backup Creator just to have (both free) as they are good tools.
k, thanks, I'll get the more expensive dvds, and those programs look helpful the new benq fw flashing stuff says it only works with VIA and NFORCE chipsets or wtvr.....does that mean it won't work for me? since both my motherboard and sata controller are intel? Also am I going to have to buy a sata cable or is there one in the 360 I can use? I'm assuming there is, but just in case....
Xerofyre can you please post your experience so far with that combination: Pioneer 108 benQ drive What's the best media for the benQ? Is the Pioneer a good burner? Which software do you use (clonecd? imgburn) Thank's in advance
Sorry, I ended up not modding my 360. I'm either going to wait until there's a solution that doesn't get me banned from XBL, or until I have enough money to buy another 360.
