Pioneer DVR-109

    Hi i have a pioneer dvr-109 firmware v1.17 i tried to update it but when i download the firmware and tried to install the software said it could not find the player.

    is your dvr-109 recognised in system info, maybe loose ide cable?
    also are you sure you have downloaded the correct firmware for the dvr-109 ?
    also better to make sure :)

    yes i'm sure i download the right firmware but how do i know if the dvd is recognised?

    you can check in control panel - system information

    this will or will not show the drive you are looking for , hope that helps .

    never mind i figured out the problem it's just that i didn't have a 80-pin ide cable
