The new pioneer dvr106 was available from last week in a certain uk store. It is not available for general release in the UK until June 30th. The drive itself does supposrt +/- R RW, however, apart from that, it is virtually exactly the same. Why pay over £120 for that feature if you dont need it. The pioneer dvr105 has dropped in price due to this release. Go for it! In December 03, Pioneer are releasing the DVR107 which will be the first DVD Writer to have +/- Writing capabilites at 8x instead of 4x and 2.4x (-/+) Wait for it i think!
Yep good point about the 106 oriphus - still interests me, cos it looks like pioneer and sony are going head to head now with the dual formats - who will be victorious? The one that works and costs less......... BTW the 105 is going to be ceased for production very soon so if you want the 105 - get it quick....whilst stocks last.
