Hi there, I baught a Pioneer A05 (105) and it doesent seem to burn anything! It gets stuck after 2 to 3 secs. Tried Pioneer´s DVD-R & RW and some Noname -R & RWs, same probs! I tried Data-DVDs as well as Movie-DVDs. Both unsuccessful! Anybody for a solution? Please help! THX
What is your problem and what do you want to know. Pioneer A-05 is a kickass burner, I had backup a lot of movies and ps2 games with cheap .80 media. And they worked well on dvd players and on the ps2.
Hey, my problem is, that the Burning-Process gets interruppted at 1-2% of burning-progress! No error screen, No system shut-down! The clock keeps running and everything seems fine, except that after 30 min of burning the progress is still at 1%!?!?! I just put the Burner into an old Win98 System and it worked fine.... I put it back into WinXP-System still no Progress! I downloaded some new ASPI-Driver (4.72) and still no burning success! Please, any Ideas????
For data dvd try using RecordNowMax, it also work with ps2 games. Alot more better than Nero. For the movie part, If your movie is under 4.7 gb, you can use dvd Decryptor to make an image and then burn it aloso with dvd Decryptor. If your movie bigger than 4.7 gb then you need to follow a guide somewhere on the internet there's alot of methods and choose the one you prefer. After making the movie work on you hard drive, in the final stage you need to record it on a dvd. You need to use RecordNowMax to burn your movie, if you use Nero you will have alot of compatibilty issues on standalone dvd players. When using rw don't forget to make a quick erase with the software that you want to burn with. Ex: If you want to burn with RecordNow you need to use RecordNow to make a quick erase. I'm using Windows XP too and my burner work well. Try like I said another burning software.
hey again, thanx, I just tried Record Now Max 4.5 and started a data-dvd Job with 2 mb of data. Estimated time to finish job 13:00 min. When 98% of burning reached, everything like before. Nothing happens, Job unfinished! I tested the burner in may old Win98 System with WinOnCD and did a 330 mb data-dvd job which finihed fine! DVD-RW readable in all my dvd-rom drives! time to finish job about 3 min. That seems much more like it! Now I tried formating my dirve and installing WinXP again to get a virgin-drive! Same probs with all Software: Nero;RecordNow;WinOnCD.
Humm... It seems that your problem it's for sure Windows XP. I read somewhere that having a dual boot may be the problem, but I also use a dual boot system without any problems so I guess it's not that. Oh I forgot did you know that sometimes if you are installing different burning softwares it can cause some conflicts with windows XP. EX: I can't have Roxio easyCD creator and RecordNowMax at the same time. I can only install one of them, otherwise I can have some issues. I have RecordNow and Alcoho120%, they can be all installed without any conflicts between them because they are compliant with dvd burner. I you had installed an CD software burner it can causes conflicts with others dvd burning softwares. If you want to burn a cd you can just use an DVD burning software like recordnowmax and make a cd job instead of a dvd job. I can see that you are using WinOnCD that may be the problem it can causes conflicts with the others burning softwares like RecordNowMax. Try to just uninstall it and install only RecordNowMax to be sure not to have conflicts with others softwares.
Hi, I tried all. Today I Updated IDE-Drivers, flashed the Mainboard-BIOS, used different IDE-Kabel on both Ports. Formated dirves C: an D: WindowsXP newly installed. Single Burning Software RecordNowMax 4.5 Nothing... I´m getting tired, knowing the drive works well on my Win98 System!!! I think the last meassure is updating the firmware to 1.30. Hopefully that will do, but I don´t think so! Yeah, had problems with EasyCDCreator5 and Some other Burning Software myself, don´t know whichone. But that one problem should have been eliminated by Formating all Drives and installing only one Burnig-Software. But thanks for your support, Joblow. Appreciate!!!!!
I don't think so either because I'm using my burner with no firmware upgrade (1.00). I don't want to upgrade because my burner work very well. I hope you will find how to fix that.
qwerter when i use recordnow max for ps2 games and dvds it gets to 98% parks up for nearly 2 hours dosent seem to do anything then it eventually finishes complete, im using XP, so try leaving it for a while see if it finishes the disc!
I had a similar problem when using pioneer an xp and resolved by reconfiguring,let me know if u wanna go further Frosty
Frosty? Would you please detail everything/how you reconfigured. I have an A05 burner also and am using windows XP Home. I would like to know what settings you used to correct that problem. Thanks
