I've just brought this DVD/CD writer drive and it will not install on my PC. When it is connected and I start my PC it stall at the boot menu and says ATAPI incompatable. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong??
I currently have a seperate dvd player and a writer. I've followed the instructions and connected the IDE Interface cable and the power cable. I've tried using both the first and second connectiosn on each cable and it still doesn't work. I've also changed the pins from master to cable select and that does not work either.
