What does "Pipped" mean? Since it wasnt in newbies forum, i thought that post was in a forum not very many people would read
definition of a word? .. pipped.. as in pipped at the post.. beaten by a short head.. nearly but not quite. pipped .. alternative to popped.. pipped out to the shop .. related to pip pip! and toodle pip .. pipped .. deseeded.. to take the pips out. pipped .. epaulettes of an officer have pips.. therefore are pipped.
except picture in picture wouldnt have have been appropriate in the sentence he used it in Must be an English usage (UK)
Without a reference to "the sentence he used" how the hell are we supposed to guess the context or meaning intended? Even i you didn't understand the context of 'pipped', the giveaway was the fact that i pointed you towards a 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' thread (that was created before yours).
