will have to take your word on it as i don't have AnyDVD. i'd thought they'd conflict with each other but maybe not in this case..
Just to be clear AnyDVD and DVDFab Decrypter do not clash at all. I am not aware of the conflict that cp1966 has come across. Maybe if if they could post what kinda of error they are getting it will help us further.
I thought, and have read many posts saying that DVDFab and ANYdvd will conflict with each other, also i dont see any reason why any one would want to use both at the same time too, they do the same thing
yeah maybe, for me i dont use anydvd so i dont have first hand knowledge, but like i said before i have read many post by members saying they do conflict. i also think that chances are they do conflict, why eles would that message come up.
Ok well I use DVD Fab Decrypter Express the free version and I have AnyDVD in the background and i backup all my disc like this. I do not use the AnyDVD Ripper. I just have AnyDVD running because it recognice the protection. I have not tried to back up a movie with DVD Fab on its own without AnyDVD Running but i just keep it all activated because I also use CloneDVD 2 to burn the backup. And sometimes i just use CloneDVD on its own. For me if you find a combination that works for you stick with it and don't look back update if needed but don't change the combo.
Well on my pc, if I open DVD Fab Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background, Fab asks me kindly to turn AnyDVD off. I close Fab exit out AnyDVD and open Fab and no problem. I don't actually use Fab but have it installed. AnyDVD has been able to do all of them for me.
It is recommended "not" to run DVDFAB Decrytper with AnyDVD or any other decrypting engines. If you used DVDFAB Decrypter to rip into the HD, then it's best to "shut off/disable" all other decrypting tools or vice versa. However, the choice is yours. Best of luck to all!!
Thanks, I was just curious. However, I have been unable to make any copies with Fab. After I copy the file to the HD, there is nothing in the folder for me to burn from. Oh well. However, as I mentioned in anothe rpost, my PC will not load WIndows now. I get to the Windows XP screen, then it reboots. When I try to get into SAFE mode for windows, or try to load windows with the lasrt known configurrtaion, it just keeps rebooting. I never had a problem with Any DVD 6.0.8.5, but now that I loaded 6.0.8.8, I cant log into that PC.
i'm sure i replied to this before but for me, DVDFab doesn't always put the file in the same folder. i like to point Fab towards my own Fab output directory but Fab usually switches back to dumping files in a Fab directory within the 'My Documents' directory structure
I'm trying also to do a backup of the region 4 POTC2. I used Anydvd to rip to HD with no problem. Then used Dvdshrink, again, with no problms. The real pain comes when I try to burn the disc with Nero. I got two error messages. The fist one says "DVD-video relocation failed". If I ignore this error I got another one saying "non critical error ocurred during the operation, which may result in a defective write". I'm getting dvdfab right now, will report the result later....
- the errors are due to you not doing something correctly in DVD Shrink, Nero's simply warning you that the dvd files are not 'compliant'
Same here. I have DVDFAb but don't use it. The very rare occassion that I need to use it, I still leave AnyDVD running and I get no errors or problems.
At first I tried just AnyDvd & DVD Shrink to do this one. I got an error that DVD Shrink could not read a certain sector & continue. I then tried DVDFabDecrypter, after about an hour & stuck @ 47% I quit using it. What did work was this: I used the method that pazzini did...well kind of, I just did not use anything but DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink & AnyDvd in the background when DVD Decrypter was reading to HD. Then all there was to do was burn with IMGBurn, no problems!
Thank you guys for your help. I had used all the formentioned programs, but never used anydvd in the background. I successfully burned dead mans chest by running any dvd in the background, and using dvd shrink to rip the movie, as I have always done in the past. I'm joining up on afterdawn now. Thanks again.
Yeah for a Disney movie this one was easy! First I backed it up with AnyDVD and ImgBurn ISO file (build and write) on a DL disc so there was no compression. Then I ran the same ISO file thru Shrink and reauthored to just the movie and got 62% and put it on a single layer disc. Both play well. One 1 sec hang on the DL at the layer break.
i haven't tested this one out i ordered it on circuitcity.com for only 13.99 it came out today i should get it next week. I would just go to a circuit city and get one but i live out in the country and the closest one is 1 hr away lol. I'm i hightech redneck
