Pixelation and Freezing

    Brobear I tried something simpler that I think may have fixed the problem. First I turned off my modem so as not to be connected to the internet. Then I disabled Norton Antivirus. Ran movie saved on HD back through DVD Shrink, then burned with DVD Decrypter; perfect copy no freezing; no pixel problems.

    I thought I addressed that in the original thread where you mentioned this. You're not supposed to do multiple posts on the same specific topic. What you've come upon lends credence to the earlier assumption that your problem may have been compression or system related. Shrink handles compression better than the software you were using. As for segmenting the backup process, that decreases the strain on system resources.

    By the way, if you address a post to another user, it would be nice if you PM that person to inform them of the post. It's a big forum and a single thread is easily missed.
