EDIT: Changed computer case and power supply EDIT: Changed RAM type EDIT: Added fan and monitor Here are the list of parts that I'm going to buy to build a PC. I do play games such as CoD4, Crysis, Bioshock etc. I also want to have this PC support dual screens, so that means I am also a somewhat hardcore multitasker. You don't need SLI for dual screens. Very good choices there man. Few changes though. I would get this PSU http://www.buy.com/prod/corsair-650...ply-corsair-tx-cmpsu/q/loc/101/206178324.html And this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119152
i'll take those suggestions, thanks for telling me! Btw, does anyone know of a good HD Widescreen monitor at a reasonable price?
See if you can get a Dell E248 WFP on eBay. You can probably find a good deal on it. As far as inexpensive HD monitors go that's one of the best ones out there.
that's great, im gonna see if i can find that, can anyone also suggest what kind of "gaming" mouse I should get, but also at a reasonable price?
Logitech MX518 is a good mouse. It's reasonably priced as afr as gaming mice go. I use a Logitech RX700 and it works very well.
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154001 would i need this fan, after all, the q6600 does not come with a cooler of its own http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009145 i couldnt fine the E248 on ebay and dell is selling it for $400. Is this a good alternative.
Yeah, both of those are just fine. I have that Acer at my Dads work and it's very nice. P.S. Why are you on the Newegg Canada website?
so is there anything im missing? do i just need a set of microhead screwdrivers to assemble them all together?
It may be worth running down to your local (trusted) computer store to make sure you put it all together correctly that is what I did on My last 3 I built Myself. An hour of labor is still cheaper than a daul core 3.0 AMD.
Nah, it's so much more satisfying to make it yourself. You'll need a screw driver, and also just touch unpainted parts of your case repeatedly to ground yourself. P.S. You bought a Tuniq Tower. That's an excellent cooler, so you should be able to overclock quite a bit!
so is this all good, there is nothing more to buy? so i can just order all these parts to build myself a computer? I have left over keyboards and mice, so i think im good.
