I hope this is the right forum!
I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix w/a factory radio. I burn music cd's using Nero and Memorex 52x cd's at the slowest speed. When I try to play them in my car, it will play for a while then a error comes up and it stops. Is there anything other than buy a new cd player to play my cd's?? Am I burning them wrong?

Any help will be gratefully appreciated
    Thanks
    Arnie

A couple of things to try are....

    1) Different media, whether you're using a good brand or not, it may just be the type of CD you are using.

    2) Burn at a different speed, sometimes slower is not the best.

    3) A different burner, When I first got my computer, I would burn CD's and try to use them in my car. They would do the same thing yours did. I would try ALL the diffferent suggestions I read about & nothing worked. They were playable in anybody elses player but they would not play in my car. So I could burn CD's for other people but not for myself. Very frustrating, to say the least!!!!! Which brings us to.....

    4) Different player, Try to play them in a different player. Not another computer, but a different car's CD player or a portable CD player. If they work fine in a different player. I would think then that it is a compatability problem similar to what I had. Like I said, I tried everything I could think of to get them to work in my car. What I finally wound up doing was buying a new burner. Haven't had a problem since!!!!!

    5) Different burner, Try a different burning program. I probably should of put this one right after different media. There are many free ones you can try that I've heard work really well. Are you using Nero 7? I've heard about problems with this software.
