I have an AR (action replay) for Gamecube. I was wondering if I were to burn Gamecube ISOs onto mini-disks, would it be possible to use AR to play them? If so, how? Also, is there anything else cool that I can do with my AR other than using codes, and playing imports that you guys know of. Thanks in advance, DAN
well u cant play them straight from action replay but with the SD adapter & action replay you can play burn games, this method is SDloader you write a big ass code in action replay and it takes you to the sdcard thats in memory slot A and you can run DOL files of the SD card staight onto the cube this can run GCoS to play backed up games or homebrew games like doom or tetris... yay im using this method on a spare cube of mine and i love it and if you already have action replay and dont wanna fork out lots of cash for a mod chip i would strongly recomend it. ill give you the link to buy the offical nintendo sd adapter i bought but you can also make your own, i tried to make it but managed to stuff it up so its up to you. http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=78&products_id=776& i bought this, im happy with it, lik-sang are good to deal with i had no problems at all, took 9 working day to get it though but thats reasonalbe

Can I buy these SD Memory Adapters in stores (wallmart, eb games, etc.)? 4. Does it come with the memory card? 5. What programs do would you suggest using to burn games on mini-disks? Why not get some similar that actually lets you save to it as well. Just hook up the mem card to your PC usb copy the GC bios in dol format to the mem card. Pop the max drive dvd in the gc and mem card in the slot boot it up and select one of the bios to load from the memcard, follow the on screen inst. to boot a back up. Also if you don't have the broadband adapter you will be unable to rip games yourself and will have to find other places to get games to burn. And I would avoid mini discs as well, get full size dvd-r Ritek G04's work the best, that means either play with no GC case ( who cares cuz it's ust a GC) or buy a new case that fits full size dvd-r media. Also use nero to burn the iso's you have "created".

hmm well you cant just use AR i was in your position a month ago looking to spend as little as i can for a soft mod already had AR just needed the SD adapter, looked at the max drive pro option but that means you fork out more money for it so i gave that the flick you can buy a tiny SD card like 8mb is all you will need for this unluss ur going to pack it with shitty homebrew games, or you allready have a SD card, just a word of advice MMCs do work with this but evry time i loaded it i would have to reformat the card again it was horse shit, so this is what you ultimatley need Action Replay *you got it SDadapter (buy it or make it)*$AUD40 or less if u DIY SD card whatever size *10AUD for a small one Card reader* $AUD20 or if u got a digital camera use the usb link to format the card or whatever or a SD mp3 player if you do do this method i will give you all the support on how to get it working
seems like a lot of work. I see some tutorials on how to do this, but they just say you can load DOL files onto the cube. This isn't excatly great. Is it possible to load ISO in it, or convert them to DOL? Also, are these accessories available in stores, or only on the net? Thanks again, DAN
sorry for not saying it before but i could only find it on the net and trust me i am trying to get an iso running on the SD loader as soon as that happens you will be able to make a gc hard drive with my plans i have made... im a fusking genius
ok i bought the sd adapter,sd card and a case to use full sized dvds.now i already have a AR,Internal Card reader in my pc and a broadband adapter for my cube.so what do i do now?

well seeming how im here in australia u cant find shit for the cube here so internet was my only option besides a DIY thing, so i dunno about where you are but i strongly doubt u can find it in stores. with the mini DVDs yes you will be play them u can also play full size if u buy a case mod or just play top-less, how you play them is load the GCoS 1.5 doll on the SD card and when u are in the SDloader menu u select it and then GCoS will run, this is basically an alterantive Operating Sytem, that allows backups to work. then take out AR and put the burnt game in. select play back up from the GCoS menu and away you go. another thing you may need to do depending on your cube is adjust the pot, this will only be nessacery if u keep getting disk read errors aka DRE's but this goes with any form of mod on the cube wether it be a soft mod or chip. this makes the laser stronger and able to read backed up disks better.
