I'm exploring an option to spend a year or so outside North America. I'd really like to take a good chunk of my DVD collection with me. Short of playing them on my PC, which I find to be a really stupid option, is there any interface that will allow NTSC to be played over PAL?

I know that in the UK, PAL DVD players will accept NTSC disks.

Thanks for the info. Where we may be going is a former British protectorate. I also found a web site - http://www.220-electronics.com/ - that carries players that can play both discs.

Nah. I dated an Amazon once. She carried 80 pound (~39 kilo) bales of hay like I carry a donut.

    It would be not easy.

But if you rip it into mpeg2 by certain DVD Rippers and burn the mpeg2 into the disc, it will be easy to play it on both PAL and NTSC machines.
