So yea, I play Section 8 on my laptop but when I go to the cabin I can't save any progress because I can't sign into Windows Live. This is very annoying. I like playing games when the weather is bad at the cabin. Is there a way to block Windows Live or remove it so I can play the game AND save it?
I have played Section 8 many times without an internet connection and have had no problems saving. What exactly happens when you try to save without being signed in?
Not sure if they changed it since I played it. But if you did not sign in, they would not allow you to save. It would prompt you to sign in, if you did not, it just popped up that no progress would be saved. I assume is was some sort of anti-piracy measure to force you to need a product code. Good idea essentially, for online play for sure, but for offline missions it was stupid. Also, when I contacted Cust. Service back then they said if you didn't have internet, you couldn't save and they would not allow for offline product code confirmation or anything like that. I might have to get the game again if it has been patched to allow offline saving.
