    Hi everyone,
I am new to the editing scene so please bare with me.
The problem i am having is playing back a home movie i created. The sound is fine, but the picture seems to be green and pixelated. Here are the steps i performed in the creation of the video.

1:recorded home renovations on a canon miniDV zr80
2:Used windows video capture to copy to computer, via firewire
3:used WINavi to convert capyured file to dvd (audio/video files)
4:burnt created folders to disc (a benq+R 4.7 gb) with nero

Now the disc plays back in a computer and in the xbox normally, but in a dvd player (both toshiba and hitachi) it shows as an ugly green picture which you cannot make out clear images.

If anyone has any ideas please please let me know. This disc is to be a family gift!

    thank you in advance

Maybe you encoded it to PAL when it is supposed to be NTSC or something like that. When using WinAvi, go the the advanced options before you tell it to encode, and make sure that the TV format is correct.

Well i have it figured out, but i can not explain it...all the settings in WINavi were set and when played back on a dvd player the display was still crazy. So i used divxtoDVD and worked with no problems.

    Thank you for the help.
