This is a problem I have never seemed to be able to get to the bottom of, when I playback my AVI files on my pc I have no problems but every time I burn & play them back there is a slight jump every 10 seconds or so, I have used a variety of discs both DVD-R & DVD+R & a variety of burners on different machines, the one thing that has pretty much ben costant is I use Nero 7 Premium. Has anyone got any ideas?
Do you mean that they jump when played back on the PC or on a standalone? Convert an AVI using DVD Flick or FAVC - that gets Nero out of the picture.
I don't think you are doing anything wrong. You tried two authoring programs and two burning programs. The disk plays ok on the PC - unless the disks are at fault (and it seems unlikely) the common factor is the standalone DVD player. Can you play them in another player to test?
Have had this problem for a long time, have used a variety of discs & dvd players in that time, at the moment I am playing them back through my PS3 and using datawrite yellows, I am using the minimum burn speed of X4
