I am using DVDFab and DVD Shrink with Nero to burn my DVDs. Almost all of the DVDs work well but then again not all of them. The originals work well but when I back it up during playback the video pauses and then inches along if at all. Eventually it will usually come back and play a little and then pause and inch along again and usually will eventually say disc unreadable. Is it something that I am doing wrong or is it the small scuffs on the original or what? How can I fix it?
with the information you gave, it sounds to me like a case of bad media. What type of blank discs are you using? Have you tried to play them in more than one player?
I have tried several different types and they all do it. I am going to try it on a better DVD player and see what happens. I play most of them in my playstation 2 which is probably not the best. My best guess was scratches in the original DVD, but they play just perfectly.
