Hello... I have a problem playing back DVD-R on my JVC standalone player.. It recognises the disc, plays it perfectly for about 30 minutes and then I goes bad, and eventually freezes.. I use DVD-Decrypter then DVD2One and burn with Instantcopy. Also I label the discs.. Could I be using the wrong software (Instantcopy, cause you seem to like the other two), or could it be the discs.. or the player...

    hi jack
Usually when you have freezing problems, its from crappy media.Always use good discs and most of your problems will disapear.
If thats not the problem, come back with some more info and someone will surely help you out.

good luck and welcome to the hood

i'm with jim on this one jack.......at this point i'd suggest poor media.

wot media are you using? am i right in assuming that that the original plays perfectly well on your player?

keep us informed on how you get on......welcome to AD

    good luck

Also some people might disagree with me but labels sometimes cause problems with DVD's .. It can cause disks to become unbalanced sometimes.. I have had one peel up on the edges while inside the player. just a friendly tip. Welcome to AD

yes i agree about the labels, ive also heard that you should be careful with what kind of markers you use, solvent free markers only.hmmmmmm i didnt know they used solvent in some markers, makes sense not to use them tho.
