I have been playing divx and xvid videos on my computer for years. Never had a single problem. About a month ago, i formatted my hdd and reinstalled Windows XP. Now, every time I play a video I have a huge slowdown in playback. Specially when i choose to play the video in full screen. My whole computer slows down, even when I move the mouse around, it moves very slow. I have 512 RAM, but I don't think this is the problem, since I've been playing videos, with no problem, for ages. I installed the k-lite codec pack, and it didn't help. Also, I formatted another computer and reinstalled Windows XP on it, usin the same cd as in my computer, and the 2nd computer plays video files without problems. The 2nd computer I'm talking about has 256 RAM, which makes it clear, for me, that I'm not facing a RAM problem. Please help me, thanks.
