I am using either dvd shrink or Infrarecorder and having the same problem. In either case, the burn completes without any errors and all appears fine. But on playback (in a pc or standalone dvd player) it will reach a certain point on the disk and then just freeze. This has happened on every disk i have burned. It happens toward the end of the disk, but not at the very end. And up until that point, it plays fine. I have used dvd shrink to try to Open the Disk and it will analyze up until that point, freeze, and return a Data Error (cyclic redundancy check.) I am using magnanox dvd+R media on a dell inspiron laptop with a sony dw-q58a burner. Any help would be much appreciated.
"magnanox dvd+R" I thought they were bought out like 5 or 10 years ago? Anyways get some good quality DVDs http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm I usually go with Sony or Verbatim.
could try burning slower at 2x 4x make your project smaller set output size to 4300 so not to burn to outer edge... also booktype your +R to DVD-ROM (like original dvd) for better compatibility in players --------------- all else fails get better dvdr like mentioned...
thanks guys. i have tried burning at slower speeds and have gotten better media. slower speeds, even with the sucky media has yielded better results.
