I'm sorry if this had already been posted but I'm having serious problems playing back DVD's I just made. I think it's either the labels or something. I'm on G4 OS 10 with FCP2 and DVD STUDIO PRO 1 and using apple dvd-r's. Been making great DVD's. Then i thought making it look nicer by putting glossy labels on them instead of letting them be. Some dvd players, they play, some they skip, some not at all. But they do work on the computer and most players will work without the label. Any ideas. Should I switch labels? Should I upgrade software? Please help.

    Here's an idea

    STOP PUTTING LABELS ON THEM

It's better if they work don't you think?

I know, I know, that makes sense. But I was thinking of putting out dvd's as demo's and my resume so i wanna make them look nice. I just thought there would be some kind of problem other people had with using different types of labels. or maybe the dvd-r's just suck.

Buy printable discs and a disc printer.
If you want to put out anything that looks halfway decent then this is the way to go.

You may want to use different dvd media. It's better to use well known brands like sony, tdk, fuji, etc.
