Can anyone give me some info, i've searched the forums and found some information. I've been converting AVI to DVD with WinAvi but when it comes to playing the DVD it seems to give a slight stutter every second. I've tried burning at slower speeds and changed the output size in WinAvi but i just can't solve it.

Play the ready dvd from your harddrive, if the same problem occurs there, then the encoding is messed up. If it plays fine, then burning or your player causes it.

VLC player plays vobs, just google it and go to the first link. Sometimes crappy media can't be read properly by standalone players, you could also try a bit more expensive ones.

Ok i've watched the watched the file and its stuttering in that, and i watched the original AVI file and it doesn't stutter in that so it must be when i'm converting. Any ideas how to stop it, i'm using WinAvi?

Try some other programs, like divxtodvd or dvdsanta. Guides can be found here on AD, in section "guides" :p
