I'm having trouble with some, maybe all of DVD-R copies I've made of movies. I checked them all after initially copying them and they all play fine. I've sinced viewed copies that played fine previously and now they pause and continue to play, in some cases, after several seconds. I have one that does not automatically start as it did in the past it also pauses during playback and did not in the past. my originals playback just fine, so do audio CDR's with no trouble at all. is it just another case of cheap media? admittedly the DVD-R's I chose were quite inexpensive, I was told there's no difference. as I read through the forums I'm noticing a common solution to the "playback trouble" delima, cheap media. please help!
Are you using stick on labels on your DVD's? If so these will often cause problems after a number of plays.
I never use labels on any discs of any kind, dvdr, cdr, etc. I'm pretty sure it's the quality of discs I'm using. I'm going to try verbatim and see how they work out.
I'd say you're right on the money. It's probably the media. If you're getting Verbatims make sure they're branded, meaning they actually say Verbatim on the disc.
It's the media, cheap and inexpensive sometimes gets confused with each other, cheap is a measure of quality and inexpensive is a measure of value.
