My VCD worked on my old laptop- which had Windows 95. The movie's been burnt on it. I had Windows XP now, and when I put the CD in, it doesn't play- infact there is a file with a media player icon on it, but when i click it it says it can't play the file. It also says its a .dat file and thats why it can't play it. I don't know what to do!

Use WinDVD, click open and navigate to the mpegav folder on the vcd and play the avseq01.dat file! Should play back perfect!
