    Hi,
One of my relatives prepeared our "Family Tree" on Microsoft Excel and burned the same on a DVD disc.
Said tree consists actually of several charts in the form of Excel files, like "The great-great parents with each of their children", "Members of the second generation", "Members of the third generation" etc. and next to each of the names (of the persons) there is his picture.
When I insert the said DVD into my PCs DVD compartment, I can open each such Excel file by clicking on it, whereupon I see the chart with all the names and pictures included in that file (also, I can enlarge each such picture).
However, when I am trying to watch the said DVD on my standalone DVD machine, I can see each picture, however not the charts with the names with each picture next to it.
Is there any program (or system) that can convert the said Excel files so as to enable to display the said charts (with the names and pictures) on standalone DVD machines ?
    Thanks in advance
    stibi

Although this doesn't solve your needs at this point, you could try "family tree maker"This software doesn't come free however, and I believe there are only two versions. One for the UK market and the other for the USA. I can't confirm this to 100% though. Use the link I posted and visit the site, there is a tutorial link that may help out.

Convert the Excel files to .jpeg files and make your own DVD slideshow for TV. As for enlarging individual photos you will have to add those separately.
